A small draw to celebrate the spring!

Finally it feels like spring it´s on it´s way. I really hope this lovely sunny weather stay with us for a while. Now it´s time for springflowers and no more snow!
Now, when winter is going towards it´s end, I also start to feel for some other kinds of fragrances. Today was the first time since last summer I longed to wear Bond No 9´s Coney Island. Do you have any spring or summer fragrances that you feel it´s finally time for?
Some of the scents I´ve been writing about from around Christmas until now I won´t use as much during spring, while others will be so nice to wear in warmer weather. I belive I´ll use Cruel Gardenia with pleasure during april as well as several of Ormonde Jayne´s fragrances. Frazer parfum have several perfumes with a kind of refreshing feel and I think they´ll be beautiful during summer. When (or if) I comes to London I´ll go to Roja Dove´s at Harrods and ask how much a bottle of Frazer Parfum is...
Puredistance I that I wrote about just days ago will be so nice during spring and summer, so will Iris Ukioje that I bought when I was in Stockholm.
Some of the fragrances I have wrote about isn´t that easy to get, so I will give away a small set of samples to one winner (here and the Swedish blog).
The winner will have: One sample (1 ml) of Femme by Rochas (vintage), one sample (1 ml) of Shalimar (vintage), one sample of Cerchi Nell'Acqua´s White Out, one sample (1 ml) of Sigilli´s Claudiae, one small sample (0,5 ml) of Guerlain´s Cruel Gardenia, one small sample (0,5 ml) of Iris Ukioje and one small sample (0,5 ml) of Puredistance I.
Leave a comment below, and I´ll draw one winner at thursday 24th of march, tell me something about spring or winter favorites.
Good Luck!

A small give away of samples from Shahrzad Palace Perfumes
Since I´m quite alone with this scents from Shahrzad Palace Perfumes I´ve decided to have a small give away of 4 sample sets with all the five scents, Royal Ambar, Musk, Jasmin, Violet and Lotus Flower.
Just leave a comment below before friday 19/10 in the morning (CET) and I draw a total of 4 winners both here and at the Swedish blog.

And I am really curious about what you think about the different scents so prepare to tell me that if you´re one of the winners.
It could take a while before I can post the sample sets since I´m not sure if I have enough sample vials for now, but you will get your set eventually if you´re one of the winners.
Good luck!

A somewhat smaller drawing

On the Swedish blog I have a drawing for two big bottles of perfume from CnR Create. This is by far the most valuable drawing I´ve held on my blog. Unfortunatly you have to have a Swedish address to entering the contest for the bottles, but however my international readers wont be totally without a little price.
I have an untested sample set of all twelve male fragrances in the Star Sign perfumes line. If you´re interested to try out this well made and interesting line, please leave a comment and I´ll draw one lucky winner next friday 22/10.
If, however, you´re reading the English blog, but are a residence of Sweden or have an address in Sweden, you´re of course welcome to participate in the "big" contest. You do so by answering this question:
Where was the idea of making Star Sign perfumes born?
You can find the right answer here:
But, for entering the sample drawing you don´t have to answer the question. Only leave a comment and I´ll draw one winner.
Good luck and a big thank you to Robert and Canisa at CnR Create.

The other winner will get a decanted sample of Craft, and also some surprise.
So what are you waiting for? Leave a comment and wish for luck, I belive that Andrea Maack samples aren´t that easy to find.
Good luck!

Summer, perfume shopping and a draw
Here I am and feeling very satisfied. Yesterday I was off to Norrköping to shop for the gift check that I won.
It was me and two of my daugthers that went to Norrköping. First we visited a really nice second hand store, where I manage to find a lot of nice clothes for almost no money at all. I´ve got two tank tops, a bare shoulder top and a hood sweater for about 15 euro. Middle daugther manage to get an entire wardrobe with shoes, dresses, shirts and tops for about 50 euro. I really love second hand stores, and the one i Norrköping is one of my faves.
After that it was time for Kicks (Kicks is a Swedish cosmetics, skincare and perfume chain). I usually never buy perfume over desk in Sweden, but still have some idea about the prices and supply. And, yes I tested a lot of perfumes, even though some of them was so discrete and neutral that I forget that I´ve had tested them. After a while there was three different scents that wanted to follow me home; Kenzo Amour Le Parfum, Prada´s Ambre and JP. Gaultier´s Fleur de Male. When I discovered that the Prada scent wasn´t available I decided to buy both Kenzo and Gaultier even though the final sum was a little more then 100 euro. It´s also nice to bring home a frag that both me and my husband can use.
But it is after all a little shocking to discover that perfumes that I can find on the net for as little as 10 or 20 euro are as expensive as 70 euro in Swedish stores. I´ve noticed that a lot of customers at Kicks seem to be young, trendy girls. Aren´t they aware of internet and the huge price differences? This makes me wonder how usual perfume store manage to survive considering the rivalry from net-retailers?
I was also so naive that i thought I would get me some nice perfume samples since I support the store with more than 100 euro, but no, the girl in the cashier shrugged, they didn´t have any. But she gave me a small skin care sample at least. Wow, I´ve got 1,5 ml face cream for free! I find it a little starnge, since I heard of perfumista friends all over the world that gets a lot of free sampels whenever they buy a bottle of perfume. Why isn´t that common in sweden? Or maybe I had only some bad luck? Otherwise I think some "goodies" to bring home are a great way to make customers to become returning customers.
Well, it was a great day anyway.
Since i´ve had so much luck I´ll host a little draw. Leave a comment and I will draw two winners that´ll get some samples from my newest scents and maybe some decants as well and a little this and that that i find in my drawers. And maybe I´ll even throw in a small sample of face cream. Don´t miss it! ;) I´ll draw two winners totally on friday morning (9/7) and please in the comment tell me where you usually shop for perfumes and if you have had some particually nice or bad perfume shopping experiences?

Congratulations to Ylva! :) I send your little parcel with samples and something else soon.
Besides from me being sick the whole week everything is just fine. I´m really look forward to the perfume meeting in Stockholm tomorrow. I wish that my ear is allright by then, because right now I can´t hardly hear a thing with my right ear! :(
It´s because I´ve been ill I haven´t written so much on the blog this week, but I´ll hope for recovery and fresh reviews next week.

Finally grandmother! And a draw.
It has been a weekend filled with action. The little grandson was born on Saturday night about half past ten and the delivery went just fine. So now I´m a newly in love grandmother to a pretty little boy (even though he´s quite big for a newborn, 54 cm long and weight 4 kilo). We visited the little treasure and his battered parents yesterday, he is so cute and fine and I could hardly take my eyes from him! I hope I´ll see him again soon, almost every day.
Our oldest daughter and her family was also here during the weekend, so fortunatly they manage to see the little boy also before they leaving for home yesterday. Besides from being a grannie, we also had some barbecue, going to the sea and rolled some sushi.
I do feel like celebrating that I´ve become a grandmother, so I decided to have a small draw. leave a comment if you like to join before friday morning 28/5 and I´ll draw one (only one on both the Swedish and English blog) lucky winner. I´ll put together a small surprise lot of samples, some that I´ve wrote about here on the blog. Good Luck!

Drawing M.Micallef´s Pomelos

Now, one reader of the blog will have the opportunity to try M.Micellef´s Pomelos. I will draw one lucky winner for a nice mini bottle (10 ml, lightly tested by me) of Pomelos in a white leather poach with gold print. Both readers of the Swedish and English blog are welcome.
Just leave a comment. I will draw one winner in the morning (CET) of February the first.
Good Luck! :)

A special day and a Merry Christmas-draw

Today me and my husband are celebrating that we have been married for 20 years. Today will start with a walk with the dog and then some piece and quiet before the evening. We are going to a restaurant, maybe Indian? And then it´s off the the beautiful little town theatre with the youngest daughter on stage. And for wedding present I will have a bottle of Bois Farine (L'Artisan): Yes, I know I use to complain about L'Artisans lack of scent and staying power, but Bois Farine lasts pretty decent on me, even though it´s still discrete. I had to decide between some different perfumes, but I think Bois Farine is the one most different from the rest of my collection.
The Christmas is closing in more and more, and I thought that I would send a little present to ONE of my blog-readers. It is a sample pack with little this and that: 3,5 ml sample (more like a mini bottle) of Eau de Campagne, Sisley. A small (about 2 ml left) spray decant of Le Basier du Dragon, Cartier. A small sample box (1,2 ml) from Acqua di Parma consisting of: Arancia di Capri, Mandorlo di Sicilia, Cipresso di Toscana, Fico di Amalfi och Mirto do Panarea (I don´t know how much there is left in each sample). A spray sample(1,5 ml) of Ineke´s Field Notes from Paris in a cute little box. Two samples from Hilde Soliani, SAaliiiSssiiMO and Il Tuo Tulipano. And a small bottle about 2 ml with Arabian Gardens from Nicolas Danila. Maybe I will send some little surprise as well.
NOTE! All samples are used, some very lightly and some of them a little more. Some fo them are easy to find and some of them are a little more rare. I will send all the samples to one reader, no matter if it´s here at the swedish blog or the english. For international readers, don´t expect the parcel to arrive before Christmas, but for readers in Sweden I will try to post it on friday so it will reach you before Christmas. I will draw one lucky winner, here or at the english blog, tomorrow morning 9 o´clock (CET).
Good Luck!
